ABOUT

Art has always been my way of exploring ideas, emotions, and the beauty I find in everyday life. Every piece I create tells a story, captures a moment, or reflects something that has inspired me along the way. My hope is that my work encourages you to pause, look a little closer, and discover something meaningful that speaks to you.

As my creative journey has grown, I've found new ways to share that experience through technology. That's why I created my app, muzei.io, to make my artwork more interactive, accessible, and engaging. It's a space where creativity continues beyond the canvas, allowing you to explore my work in new ways and become part of the process. Whether you're discovering a favorite piece, experimenting with creative tools, or simply enjoying the experience, I hope the app helps you feel more connected to art.

This website is a reflection of my creative journey and a place where I can share it with you. Thank you for taking the time to explore my work and support what I love to create. I hope you find something here that inspires you, sparks your imagination, or simply brings a smile to your day. I'm excited to have you along for the journey, and I can't wait to share what's coming next.

CULTURE

Dima Gapeev is a Baltimore raised Artist, attending Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and UMBC, graduated with a Bachelors in Physics. After college, Dima developed a vision, a solution for a very large problem within the social technology landscape. Driven by pure passion, he developed muzei.io, a platform whos purpose is to change the norm surrounding how we approach art, culture, and politics.

In the United States, majors platforms are owned by the elite ruling class, and the software that is used in these platforms are designed to steal your attention and control the narrative. They have a monopoly on attention, on social interaction, and on discourse.

In an attempt to maintain the status quo and keep the population in line, the largest threat to the system will be the counter culture, the nonconformists. They are actively passing laws to destroy any sense of community that the counter culture has access to.

Themes behind the Art

  • Painting of a Crowd

    Community

My work often surrounds themes of a brighter future, using strong lights to exemplify what could be and what could happen if we all realized what's important in life, Kindness and Community.

  • Painting done on a mirror

    Fragility

My works often tend to be painted on second hand supplies, usually
mirrors and glass from photo frames. I do this to emphasize the
fragility of art and culture, claiming that the two should be treated
    carefully and thoughtfully interacted with.

  • Painting of Two Cats in a Window

    Cats

I depict cats and flowers often to inspect the contemporary narrative
on gender roles and ego, as well as optics, perspective, and
    understanding

  • Painting of a goldfinch on a Sunflower

    Nature

Nature is the all encompassing, and has been there before huumanity, is a part of humanity, and will bounce back after humanity. It is the constant that we overlook.

  • Painting of a hand on a mirror

    A Brighter Future

I create art with a sense of a strong light source present, with strong high lights and ambiguous tones in the shade. This is a reminder that we cannot stop fighting for the future of our planet.
